After all the rain we got Friday, the April showers bring May flowers was looking like a bonanza for the May flowers. But today we woke up to snow flurries and a bitter wind. So what do April snow flurries bring? … Anyone?
I’m thinking they bring a late spring. Where is global warming when you need it!?!

After April Snow
May crops will grow!
(We hope!) Much of the early snow melt ran off because there was ground frost; the recent downpour of rain accelerated the ground frost retreat. Now, as the fresh snow slowly melts it has a better chance to percolate through the ground and thoroughly saturate the deeper layers of the soil–that should be good for the crops, if the surface of the field dries out enough to plant the crops!
