This afternoon around 6:30 there was a storm that came through and took half of the roof of the barn (coverall) off and knocked down a tree that took out the hydro on the way down, so we hooked up the generator and then we started cutting the tree up so that we could get down the driveway. (and so that the hydro repair man could come fix the power lines) Then we went back to the coverall and we scraped down the pens and rolled tarps out over the pigs. We gave them some straw too so they should be alright. As for the roof… we can’t do anything about right now so we just rolled it up and left it at the side of the barn. There are a couple pictures to follow of cutting up the tree (Grampa, Dad, and Uncle Ted came to help too) and barn.

That’s too bad about the barn roof. So much extra work! Glad to hear no one was hurt, though. Any piggy casualties?
