There is a new little restaurant near the AMC Theaters in Whitby called Cuisine ‘n Jazz (www.cuisinenjazz.com)
They are a family run operation, and were looking for some local product to be serving. One thing lead to another, and they are now (proudly) serving their pork from the best possible source! (Me !)
They had a grand opening gala thingy tonight, and Kevin and I managed to catch couple of songs from the band, and taste some pretty tasty appetizers.
They are a really nice couple, and we certainly wish them good luck, and lots of (porky) success!
I completely agree! A very nice restaurant indeed! The food (and yes, the pork too) was really good!!! We’ll definitely go back! This is where we got your card! We’ll be in touch soon!
We have been to Cuisine ‘n Jazz several times and it has always been a dining pleasure. This isn’t an upscale restaurant. Prices are reasonable and the food very good. The Sunday afternoon jam sessions are excellent and patrons are encouraged to bring an instrument and join in. Whitby needs this type of restaurant. Something a little different and not a mass market chain.
Roger, Michaela and I would just like to thank the Lamb Family for all their support and wonderful pork! We are working with local produce as much as possible now with beef, pork and also all our eggs from local source, we are really looking forward to the spring when we can also have fresh fruit and vegetables. Thank you for the really nice reviews and we look forward to seeing you again soon! Best Regards Cuisine ‘n’ Jazz, the Ouellette Family.
We went on a Friday night at 7:30 and to our dismay were the only diners although by the time we left there were 3 other couples there. Excellent jazz was playing upon arrival, although we found it a little loud for talking(should be background noise as it’s a small establishment). Service was excellent, restaurant was clean, comfortable chairs, upscale modern decor and huge bathroom which felt like one at home. We ordered Chipotle Chicken, Salsiccia con Finocchio, insalata della pera and jazzy caesar. I would highly recommend the salsiccia con finocchio and insalata della pera salad. We were a little surprised when we got our order with only pasta – menu said our dishes are “served with penne” so we were expecting a piece of chicken on the side and whole sausage with the other dish. It appears all their dishes are pasta with the meat or fish mixed IN the pasta so essentially it is pasta you are eating. Not complaining though as it was excellent and would like to return again sometime.
We enjoyed a quiet evening here. Good service and food. Please, we would like to comeback, but we don’t always want to eat pasta. I think you are limiting your clientelle! Maybe some other options would be good.
Thanks for a great might
