All meat is frozen ’cause it’s the best way!
“fresh” means it is not smoked, cured, or further processed
shoulder, butt (no not the one you sit on), ham (leg) , loin are all butcher’s terms for parts of the pig.
Therefore, a “fresh ham” would just be a nice roast from the leg area, and a “smoked ham” would taste a little different (bettter!) than your typical ham in the grocery store.
